ISOWN 11th Annual International Conference

ISOWN VIRTUAL CONFERENCE 2020

The INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL WORK OF NIGERIA from the 26th to 28th of November 2020 will be engaging Stakeholders, Social Work experts and Desk Officers from across Nigeria as well as the General Public to her 11th Annual Conference Virtually owing to the recent covid-19 pandemic outbreak – In Collaboration with NWA, The Nigerian Women Association, Verona.

This Year conference will aim – At providing professionals with renewed vision, inspiration, knowledge and practical skills that can be immediately applied to maximize potentials in repositioning Social Work practice for National Development and meeting up with the obvious emerging challenges our society is faced with. Participants will also have the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from other countries.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year the conference was held in virtual mode via the Zoom platform.

The Institute of Social Work of Nigeria (ISOWN) is the professional institute established for training and certification of Social work Professioners in Nigeria, duly registered and approved by the Office of Attorney General of the Federation as a legal professional Institution under CAP 59 of 1990 and Federal Ministry of Education in Nigeria for the purpose of training and certification in core social work practice disciplines. Some of the approved mandates include; membership registration, training (Academic, Continuous Development and Seminars), research, consulting, publications among others.
