A new eyefon project Event – …creating positive future

Awareness Raising to parents of children and youth to safeguard against irregular migration and human trafficking

Following the awareness raising realized to the market Women of Igando market within the EYEFON project, the Nigerian Women Association, co partner to Papa Giovanni 23° and other partners of the said project funded by the Italian Ministry of Interior, are set again to meet parents of the Nigerian Youths and children for their safeguarding against irregular migration towards the European countries and abroad.

So we thought of another great idea which is to collaborate with local associations and non-governmental organizations in Nigeria by raising awareness to intercept groups of parents of adolescents not to fall victim of human trafficking and irregular Migration.
The idea is to organize a series of meeting in Lagos at the headquarters of these associations or NGOs inviting parents who have children in the adolescent age group to participate to raise awareness on the issue of the risks of irregular migration and at the same time to make these parents become sensitive as an ‘antenna’ or as Mandatory reporter’s in their communities to be able observe and suspect any members, neighbours and acquaintances that trying to go through that situation and report them to the competent authorities or organisations offering support and assistance to victims of trafficking.
